Commercial Loan Processor in San Francisco, CA - Berkadia Main Careers Site

The Loan Processor position will support the originators in our branch office with complex commercial mortgage deals and assist with ensuring the operations of the office run smoothly.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports business development efforts and works with the production team to coordinate client calls, meetings, events and conferences;

  • Handles all incoming and outgoing monies as it relates to; good faith, rate lock deposits, origination, broker and loan boarding fees;

  • Ensures that application fees, third parties, extension and broker fees are paid and that clients are remitted any excess “good faith” funds or other deposits;

  • Assist with interacting with the borrower throughout the underwriting process;

  • Assist with financial cash flow and cost report analysis;

  • Assist with preparing loan submission packages for lender review. Order and review 3rd party reports including: appraisals, environmental inspections (if necessary), property condition inspections and seismic reports (if

    necessary) for loans under application;

  • Assists with drafting copies of the appraisal, Engineering and Phase I reports are reviewed and changes are negotiated as required;

  • Order, review, approve and submit Credit reports on various companies, i.e. borrowers and tenants;

  • Manages that office’s content on the Company’s CRM system, including posts to Chatter; serves as the office expert on the functional components of the CRM system and other production supporting technologies;

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma, GED/equivalent certification or equivalent military experience; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred;

  • At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in a lending environment or Commercial Real Estate;

  • Previous experience with cash flow and cost report analysis helpful;

  • Experience with MS Office, especially Excel;

  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal;

  • Ability to interface with customers;

  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
